
Golden Temple – Sripuram
The temple is located on 100 acres of land and has been constructed by the Vellore-based charitable trust, Sri Narayani Peedam, headed by its spiritual leader Sri Sakthi Amma also known as ‘Narayani Amma’. The temple with its gold (1500 kg) covering, has intricate work done by artisans specialising in temple art using gold. Every single detail was manually created, including converting the gold bars into gold foils and then mounting the foils on copper. Gold foil from 9 layers to 10 layers has been mounted on the etched copper plates. Every single detail in the temple art has significance from the vedas.

Sripuram The Golden Temple was built in a short span of SEVEN years. It was inaugurated on August 24, 2007. The consecration ceremony was witnessed by thousands of devotees. Since then, the temple has attracted hundreds of thousands of devotees; often breaching the 1 lakh mark on special occasions. The temple has also changed the face of Thiruamalaikodi village and the nearby town – Vellore. In the coming years, the temple envisages to create a positive influence on the society and ultimately bring about a drastic change.
Sripuram is aptly termed as ‘The Spiritual Oasis’, attracting people from different races, religions and all walks of life, from across the globe, creating peace and joy.
